Between Sprague and Bedo, and I am sure others, you are getting sound advice. I collect Idaho tokens and poker chips and like everything else, there is kind of an equation/factors to keep in mind; issue population (are some missing pieces going to come back to haunt you), survival rate (what have you/ are you seeing being sold (be cautious of a rarites popping up since it could be a disquised hoard), collector base (rare towns are great if you collect the whole state but how many of you do?) (with chips, Vegas will likely be the king for quite some time--large collector base...), condition (will your finest known soon be second?)
You *are* doing something that some do not do when not sure...ask, most collectors love to talk and mentor when possible, free even!
