grin I think my name is spelled like the Pope's grin

I think we know of everything from CEP in Vichy, and those pieces do not fit in with those collections.

I've read many posts about the set with some saying Monaco and a few other places in France, but the one story that I remember most is by a Historian of French casinos who actually visited BG about 27 years ago to learn that they had no information notes to pinpoint the set.

I do believe that somewhere along the line that the pieces had serial numbers engraved (not by BG, too crude for their work) to be used somewhere, but where is still unknown to me.

Perhaps someone here has additional information...

There were some pieces from Italia that were found just east of France, in the Ventimiglia area, that were also filigreed overlaid... that are believed to be from either a private club or personal set, but I asked all over town if anyone knew of a casino there in the mid-20s to early-30s... and all they did was to point me in the direction of San Remo/Sanremo grin like I was lost... vbg
