Kursaal - San Marino Republic - 1947

This plaque was saved from the fire of the Kursaal, the casino opened in San Marino (a small republic in the middle of Italy) in 1947, after the WWII. The casino closed just after the opening, because of a political agreement with Italy, and after that, in 1953 San Marino rulers signed a pact to never open a casino in the Republic, as every town in Italy. Only Sanremo, Venezia, Saint Vincent and Campione had some special gaming licence.
This is for history; for the collecting purposes, I was asked 160 Euro for this from a coin collector... sad
