Antique stores and yard sales
In Response To: Let me ask this of the board ()

I have been to hundreds of antique stores and tens of thousands of yard sales (I do the worlds longest yard sale every year)and I only occasionally find much of interest. But the fun is in the hunt like I mentioned earlier. And you just never know when you will hit the bonanza. A few motnhs ago I was at a local coin show and one dealer said he had a few chips at his store but not with him. So a week later I emailed him and he sent me a scan of four chips. Three were OK but not worth the $5 each he wanted. The fourth was a very rare Fremont $1 Arodie in mint condition and worth maybe $4500-$5000. Did I argue about the $20 price or the $10 he wanted for shipping? What do you think??? vbg

The obvious point is that unless you look you will not find them. And if you collect anything else you may run across that also when looking for chips. Enjoy!
