some of your comments noted above. First & foremost is communication -- in my opinion, the current Board of Directors has done a very good job communicating our ideas and decisions. What "on-going activities" you would communicate every week or every other week is beyond me. And in many instances, it's really not one BoD member's place to communicate to the membership, but more a determination from the entire BoD of what to communicate and when. I believe that the tendency to "over-communicate" lessens the impact of what is being said as well as who is saying it. There is constant communication between the current BoD members & the decision-making process does not take place overnight, but moreso through continual discussion & conversation. I, personally, take offense to your remark about having to "pull" information -- as I've already stated, I believe that communication with the membership has been very good and I anticipate this will continue, no matter which candidate gets elected. Wi9th regards to the OLCD position -- it was eliminated simply because it no longer served its purpose and I would oppose any attempt to restore that position because there is no need for it, in my opinion. I doubt that any current BoD member feels the need to discuss club matters through an "intermediary" -- I know that I certainly don't. That extra person puts distance between the members & the BoD -- whether as individuals or as a whole. Every club member should feel free to contact any of THEIR club officers whenever they need to. I do my best to answer questions in a timely manner & if I cannot, I refer that person to the appropriate party. I'm not perfect, but I do the best that I can at any given time.
