"Here ya go: Stopped by on Feb 28 to take some pictures if the place is actually closing. It was an absolute horror. Parked in the garage and walked past the taxi area to enter by the reservation desk. The sofas and carpeting were worn beyond belief. Paint was peeling in the ceiling, and the bathroom near the pool had a pile of vomit that never got cleaned up. The Player's Club had disabled the free spin machine and their computer was inoperable, so they could not issue out coupons or vouchers that people were entitled to . Both shows were not operating, the Cyber Speedway had been blocked off, the upper level of the Nascar Cafe was blocked off, the upper level to the second showroom and buffet were blocked off, the Casbar Lounge looked abandoned, the Caravan Cafe was fenced off with a sign stating "closed for renovations". I was able to see through the curtain and nothing was happening. The bartender near the poker room stated that the sale of dollar hot dogs had dropped way off and things were very slow. I was with two other people, and none of us could win a nickel on any slot machine. Nothing. As if they were all set to hold onto every dollar inserted. It was a horrific side stop and I'm almost sorry to see it that way. Can't imagine what the rooms must look like at this point. I don't think that talk of a shutdown is a rumor at all. No business of any kind can expect to continue in it's current state."

Im going over there by Thursday at least to take a bunch of more pics. I took lots there last summer, and the security guard I asked said they have a very open policy about photos inside, just not of the pit or cage. It looks like it might be time to do a more thorough photo sweep of the whole property, just in case, for history's sake.
