OK Dennis here what I got for you.
In Response To: Proof like slot token ???? ()

OK Dennis from the picture you can see that the "Silver Klad" are more "white" looking the the normal proof token (notice the tokens on the right). If the tokens you received came in the Franklin Mint Holders that would be a good indication that they were Silver Klad. The 1965 Silver sets are rarely seen in singles and usually sell in the completed set. Maybe if you stuck the tokens in question on a scanner like I did you would be able to see the sliver tokens.

Here is what the Franklin Mint Books say on what tokens were made that were Silver or Silver Clad. (information from Dan Wicket's site and from the Franklin Mint).

in 1965 - Most of the casinos received 500 proofs of their tokens in individual coin holders. 500 complete "full-proof" sets were minted in fine silver primarily for presentation purposes.

In 1966 - 500 complete Full Proof Sets, every specimen was struck in 'Silver Klad" material (as shown above).

In 1967 - An exception occurred with the last nine $5 specimens for collectors were struck in Bonded Silverclad for the casinos but the Proof and Proof-Like specimens for collectors were struck in solid Sterling Silver. The Sterling pieces can be readily distinguished by the word STERLING included in the design on the obverse. 1,550 Proof-Like sets and 500 Proof sets were minted

In 1968 and 1969 - No Silver or Silverclad were minted
