How did these end up in Australia?

This card club was in downtown Spokane, Washington. I was there on business in ???? and played a couple of nights. It shut down within a few months, less than six I think, because of the unauthorized use of Marilyn's image. Last I heard all of the assets were being held by a bankruptcy trustee. The Washington state gambling commission has no rules on destruction or other disposition of chips from closed card rooms other than making it a FELONY to sell such items within the state!! They have since agreed that out of state buyers can purchase chips from closed card rooms so long as they don't resell them in Washington. I have no idea why they think that restriction makes any sense but having appeared before that commission a couple of times I can say that there is little that they do that makes any sense in the real world of gaming and card rooms. The commissioners are political appointees with no experience in gaming and the head honcho is (or at least was) an ex-cop from Montana!
