Wow:clever scam email pretending to be from PayPal

I just got this email (pictured below), supposedly from PayPal. It is very clever, tricky and fraudulent. It seems believable -- that I wouldn't continue to receive paper PayPal statements in the mail unless I wanted to "opt out of the change" by clicking the link in the email to let PayPal know that I wanted to opt out. I have a good habit of never giving my password, etc., on any web page THAT I GOT TO BY CLICKING AN EMAIL LINK! (Rather, I only type in my password if I got to the page from my bookmark or by typing what I know to be their URL into my browser box.) So I forwarded the email to PayPal at spoof@paypal.com. PayPal just replied to me as follows:

"Thanks for forwarding that suspicious-looking email. You're right - it
was a phishing attempt, and we're working on stopping the fraud. By
reporting the problem, you've made a difference!

"Identity thieves try to trick you into revealing your password or other
personal information through phishing emails and fake websites. To learn
more about online safety, click "Security Center" on any PayPal webpage.

"Every email counts. When you forward suspicious-looking emails to
spoof@paypal.com, you help keep yourself and others safe from identity
theft. "
