Early-1900s Hand-Painted plaque from Nice, France.

Not too much is known as to why some of the early 20th-Century French casinos had these hand-painted pieces; and what they were used for. One French casino historian remembers once seeing this type of plaque from another casino.

The piece was found in the basement of an antique shop in Paris back in the days when I was plastering the town with my "Wanted to Buy" posters... thus that shopkeeper alerted me of the piece along with a few other plaques from Nice.

Anyway, I'd like to either sell it or trade for a rare Mother-of-Pearl plaque.

The reverse "500,000" is in the next post.

If you do not have any MOP material, but know of someone who does and who is interested to trade/sell, please hook us up... Thanks (I need the action grin )..
