A few more matchcovers for your viewing pleasure They don't have to be 70 years old to be interesting and graphically appealing. If anyone has info on these establishments please share your knowledge with me and or us.
First up is a fun cover from Ed's Doghouse in Carson City. No listing in the Gaming Table, 1998 edition. I tried the calling the phone but it's no good.
Next is a neat cover that's not from The Prospector Casino in Verdi but likey a matchbook that was produced for the various truckstops listed on the back of the cover. I really like the graphic of the truck!!
Here we have a Chinese Restaurant from Vegas. No listing I could find and again the phone number is no good. I wish I lived in a "House of Joy"
And another Chinese Restaurant from Incline Village. "I would like to have some Moo-Shoo Pork and a roll of quarters". Listed as opening in 1989
I like all things Virginia City. It is the true old west and is very much like where I live here in Central City. Rich in Mining history and houses of ill repute. Couldn't find any listing for this place named after one of Nevada's most famous hookers.
Next a documented and shortlived casino in Wendover. Open from 1994 to 1995. I didn't really know about this place till I found this cover.
Finally another place I found no info on??? Looks like a sports bar on the outskirts of Reno???
