Baden Baden will always be one of my favorite clubs. Three of us piled into a little Karmen Ghia and drove down to Baden Baden when I was stationed in Heidelberg in 1961. We had a great day but sadly all three of us went home broke. It was my first time ever to play in a real casino. The skill of the Croupiers was astounding. They could toss three or four chips half the length of the table and stack them up them with the stick. I think the minimum bet was 2DM - about 50 cents - big money to a guy making $150 a month.
