Diane Piagentini was a friend, I lost touch, have not talked to her in 5 years. I got my last German Shepherd from her. She was still on Long Island last I heard.

I knew the ADA Tannenbaum (the guy Woods played) very well, I was involved in several cases with him. I also knew Bill Butler, one of the two detectives portrayed in the film.

I was a patrolman in the 28th Precinct, and the location where Piagintini and Jones were shot is a short stroll from the stationhouse. They were assigned to the neighboring precinct. We had our own travesty/tragedy. Google "Phil Cardillo" once. It will make a decent persons' blood boil. I am still p.o.'ed about it.

The cops that came thru that area were the finest I ever worked with, barr none.
