Since I stopped collecting molded chips I got rid of them Now my memory is really bad, but what I seem to recall that I bought maybe 12 to 15 yellow and 6 or 8 white "SSC" chips from an employee (manager??) of the Golden Gate. I believe he was the son in law of the person in Gene'e article that has the rest of the chips sitting in her roulette/coffee table. I forgot how my chips were spirited out of the house (something about their kid taking them without the parents' knowledge).

I believe I charged between $100 and $200 a chip, with the whites at the higher end. I vaguely remember the club auction. At the time I thought "why didn't the guy contact me?" Every one on the BBS knew I had them.
