I was a bookkeeper for a commercial bakery for a couple of years. Wal-Mart basically told us "We don't care what your prices are...this is what we'll pay, if you want our business." Our profit, from Wal-Mart, was pennies per loaf of bread, their profit was the same as other stores...maybe more.
