Extra! Greg Susong Memorial Award Auction! UPDATE

Jane Voller is the high bidder at $300. The details about this auction are below. The auction will end on Sunday, January 17th at 6 PM

As many of you know, the ccgtcc BoD has approved the Greg Susong Memorial Award. You can read the approval post/thread at the link below.

Mike Christensen & myself will be raising money between now & the 2011 ccgtcc Convention. The money will go towards the trophy which will be a one time expense. The winner's name goes on the trophy each year, but it will remain in Las Vegas. Then a plaque will be given to the winner to take home. The ccgtcc will pick up the expense for the plaque after the first year.

The other expense will be to bring Greg's family out for the presentation in 2011. That includes Carol, Lauren & Robert.

This will be just one of many auctions that Mike & myself will be running. If there is any money left over after the 2011 Convention, then the extra will go to the ccgtcc to be used for future plaques as needed for the Greg Susong Memorial Award.

This auction is for what I call a Grab Tube, instead of a Grab Bag. grin Plus you get an idea of what is in this tube. The winner of the auction will mail me out a check for the amount they owe. I will mail out the tube, priority mail to the winner. At the end of the fund raising we will provide an accounting to the ccgtcc showing exactly how much was raised, how it was raised & how it was spent.

In the tube pictured below I have included a number of uncirculated obsolete Nevada chips with a COMBINED low TCR value of at least $100. Also there are two octagon chips in new condition. One has no face value, the other could be cashed in for it's face value of $5. I also included all 9 of the personal chips I have had made up over the years & they are in Air-Tites. There are a couple of room keys, a new in the package Hard Rock Cafe pin. A lot of miscellaneous filler chips of no great value, but interesting to go through. Please keep in mind what we are trying to do here & bid HIGH & often. vbg

Jim Kruse has added the beautiful Wyandotte Nation 3 chip octagon set like the one shown below. The winner of this auction will receive set #94.
