NCR.....Just sharing a cute story

My son Joey turned 18 this summer. He still attends a special needs high school and although very intelligent (especially math), struggles at times as he has aspergers. He has been going through a really rough time lately so we took him to Florida over Thanksgiving to spend some quality time with him as he was recently hospitalized for medication management. He has been doing much better so Last night we took him to the Isle poker room with us and let him play 2-4 limit. Our family rarely gets together without a poker game breaking out so he's played only with the family and friends in the past. He sat down at the table with his sunglasses and Yankee cap on trying to look so cool. It was very cute and all the people at our table were very nice and made a big deal when he won a hand about how good he was doing. I dont usually play 2-4 limit as I find the game torturous but I wanted to stay with him to make sure he was OK. The Bear was off playing Omaha. I gave Joey a small stake and told him that when it was gone, he was done but anything he won, he could keep. He played for 4 hours on his stake and went down to all in 4 times. At the end of the night, he won a few hands in a row, counted his chips and jumped up and said, "I'm done". The kid actually won, fair and square. He is so happy. Me, I lost as I hate that game. Bonus: Joey is a big Yankee fan (go figure) and one of our dealers was Brian Doyle (ex Yankee). Can you believe I didn't think to have him sign a chip for me? Next time. Anyway, sorry for making the story so long but if you knew Joey, you could really appreciate it as he is a really sweet kid and has been having such a hard time lately that it was so nice to see him so proud of himself.
