I use scotch tape all the time ...
In Response To: NCR ~ Your thoughts? ()

... for securing slot cards and/or room keys that are first inserted into a bank envelope or a paper invoice which is then scotch taped to the inside of the mailing envelope ... especially this time of the year.

Why? Because sometimes the USPS sorting equipment will "squeeze" a card or a room key out of the end of the envelope like a knife ... or some dishonest USPS employee may think that the room key might be a gift card. Many slot card/roon key collectors that I trade with use this method to prevent theft or accidental ejection. They also scotch tape the outside of the ends of the mailing envelope. I would never use this method for mailing chips however and would strongly recommend using a bubble mailer ... which if I read Phyllis' post correctly, she did not receive a chip that was scotch taped in this manner.
