that is the question. Not always an easy decision, but I'm glad I did in this case:

The 'before' scan is from the eBay auction, so it isn't exactly an apples to apples comparison (since both pictures weren't taken with the same scanner), but I'm really happy with how it cleaned up. I usually stick to only collecting $20s and bicentennials; however occasionally I'll make an exception. I have wanted this one for a while, but when it's come up I've usually been light on cash. I think that perhaps because of the dirt I ended up getting a good deal on it.
