My 10 things I miss here in Las Vegas is in no particular order. Unlike "Mr. P's" contribution I am including pictures. Andy - Las Vegas

1. The Horseshoe deli! Absolutely the best deli Las Vegas ever had.

2. The Castaways. I have lived here for 30 years now, but always went to the Castaways every trip long before I moved here. I think the first time I was there was when I was 19 years old. They did not have a Sports Book at that time. I use to play blackjack there. The Hole in the Wall Sports Book run by Sonny Reizner was THE place to bet sports once he was hired in 1977.

3. Being able to get a fair shake & a decent comp without having to bet your house on every bet. Not that the house is worth a bet in this economy.

4. Having Lake Mead full of water! Instead of being down over a 100 feet & looking like a ring in a bathtub. Lowest water level in about 45 years.

5. Playing & watching the World Series of Poker at the Horseshoe. Those really were the good old days. Hard to even explain to those who missed those days what it was like. I first wondered into the Horseshoe during the WSOP Main Event back in 1976. It was the year Doyle Brunson won his first of two Main Event bracelets. I sweated the final table action that day. Always looked forward to the WSOP each year after that. The WSOP these days at the Rio is just a sea of people.

6. The Stardust! What bad timing that was for the Boyd Group.

7. The Green Shack on Fremont. THE best fried chicken ever!

8. Greg Susong at the convention every year.

9. Bruce Landau at the convention every year.

10. My Mom who passed away last year. She moved up here in 1989 & really loved it here. Rest in peace Mom!
