Rick got the blanks from me some time ago. I got them from GGS when they were liquidating Borland's inventory. I don't have "order cards" on them, but I've never seen these designs offered anywhere else, and am confident they tie to Bill Borland.

It's a valid argument that they aren't "Borland" chips like the others that have hot stamp or inlaid markings, but I think it's pretty certain that Bill ordered them, and eventually would have sold them to someone, probably with a hot-stamp on them.

If you want a separate category, call them "Borland samples", as these chips were shown on the sample cards that he had hanging in his shop and gave out to potential buyers. I have the sample cards in my collection as well. There are many other colors and styles on the sample cards; RobertE has many of them in both plain colors and with different edge insert patterns.
