I loved the Stardust... (When the economy tanked, I was hoping the Boyd group would be sensible and leave the 'Dust alone, and let it continue to make money...sigh.... )

Tony Cornero was the one who started building the Stardust, back in the early 1950's. It was nearly finished when he collapsed and died, over a craps table at the Desert Inn.

Our last visit was in April of 2006, just a few months before she closed. Dummy me, didn't get a picture of the sign .
