As for smileys in the Subject line I fine that cliscking the smiley does not work, so instead I just type an asterisk and then the letters of the smiley, sad for the sad face, vbg for the smile face, rofl for the spinning head, etc., followed by another asterisk. There are no spaces between the asterisks and at least one space before the first asterisk and one space after the second asterisk.
