I guess that a good part of the hobby is the thrill of the chase.
In your case which doesn't hold true in all aspects of chip collecting, there is finding a new chip that you may never have known exsited.
I think you made a great choice in collecting octagons where it can be a hobby and not a job consumed with trying to keep up.
