NCR Fantasy Football screw-up

Thanks again to Mike for running this years fantasy football league. I know that I had a blast. In fact, prior to the final playoff game I was 14-1. I have no idea how this happened since I was, for the 3rd straight year, dead last in the draft. Despite that I won most games by about 40 points and my loss was the very first game. Before the playoffs I looked at the possible playoff competition and determined that Yo Eleven was the one team I wanted to lose the last few games so I did not have to meet him in the playoffs. His team just looked unbeatable. Last weekend my biggest choice was to either play Peyton Manning or Kyle Orton. Normally that would be a no brainer. Orton was a steady but unspectactular QB most weeks and had a few pretty bad weeks. Manning, of course, had mainly great weeks. But this week Orton was going against a good defense and I was worried that he would have a bad week. Manning was possibly going to play only 2 or 3 quarters unless they were behind. I figured that Manning would be able to get as many points in 3 quarters as Orton all day. Both played in the late games on Sunday and after the early games I was behind by 70 points. That confirmed my decision that I had to go with Manning since he could get a lot of points quickly. I knew all week that no matter what decision I made it would be the wrong one and I was right. grin I took Manning who lasted less than 3 quarters and did rather poorly while he was playing. Orton had a dynamite game and if I had played him I would have won 1st place by 5 or 6 points instead of losing the last game by 25 points. Oh well, I am happy with second place and I will get my chance again next year. Congrats to the winner.
