To remove unwanted applications

Assuming you have Windows XP or something similar, hit "start" then "Control Panel" then "Add or Remove Programs" which will then list all of the applications you have on your computer. It will allow you remove those you no longer need. If you want to remove folders or files of data, then go to "Start" then go to My Documents or My Computer. You then highlight whatever you want to delete. Then hit either delete or find the delete this file on the upper left of your screen. Have fun.
