I "borrowed" the car one day (1957) to drive down to Seaside Heights... as I was coming off the highway to the local streets of S.H., I was pulled over by a local "officer" who said I was going too fast (tires squeeled... Bull!) any way he said to follow him to Hqtrs. after two blocks he pulled over and came back to the car and said we could settle it for $10 and no ticket.... My FIRST AND ONLY interaction with a bad cop! Needless to say I forked over the $10 and had a great day on the Boardwalk. So much for being a pretty new driver and nieve....
