wow, thats pretty bad, but there still may be a calibration adjustment. The ones I've seen send a "predefined" color scan thats built in to the scanner to the printer. You then scan that chart and the software adjusts the scanners colors to match what it knows that printed chart should be. this gets repeated a couple times till its exact. I know this is how its done on multifunctional machines. I have no idea how yours works, but maybe it has something similar. - by doing it this way, it calibrates the scanner to the printer Not the monitor- so colors may still look alot different then they print.
