Aruba update

From the Curacao newspaper, Amigoe:

ORANJESTAD — Employees of the casino of Radisson Hotel had stopped working last night after one of their colleagues had been dismissed. Once this had become known, they had left the casino and left the guests to their own devices. The employees demanded the reversal of their colleague’s dismissal before they would return to work. The 91 casino-workers had tolerated a great deal during the past week. Their dismissal had been applied for after it appeared that the casino-manager would be leaving. However, hotel director Rob Smith had announced yesterday that a new manager would soon be operating the casino and that the employees could apply for a job again[

That story is dated December 5th. Encouraging news. I have no news, however, about the Key Largo. I suspect it is enmeshed with the strikes going on at the Aruba Resort.
