A lot of the stuff on Mercado Libre is paid for through direct bank deposits. PayPal is not very common. Also, when I send chips to the States I have found that lately packages are taking from 15-20 days to arrive (that's from Mexico - smaller Latin American countries may take up to a month)so if you are the nervous type that is something to be aware of. Now having said that I have never had a package go astray. I always send my packages "Registrado con acuse de recibo" that is registered post with a receipt that has to be signed for. If I send 10 chips to the US by registered post the cost to me is about 7 dollars.
I buy and sell on the mexican site all the time and have never had a problem. The site is well managed.
