I have shopped all year for a new Sony TV. Nancy and I went out on Black Friday to look again. The TV we wanted was not on sale, worse it was shown at MSRP. I showed the salesman 2 other prices from other stores and told him if he could match them we would buy the TV. He initially said they don't price match on Black Friday and that their prices are set by the manufacturer. Then he said he would check and see what he could do. After a few minutes he returned and gave us a price that was 35% off MSRP and the best price of all. In addition we got a HDMI monster cable for only $49 and 25% off a stand.

Lesson, never be timid to ask for a better price. I do it throughout the year as I have a champagne appetite on a beer salary. Hope others made out as well.
