First of all I wanted to say THANKS to all of the various folks for getting involved in helping delete the spam on the Chipboard. It is because of your efforts that the board has been a spam free environment from which to enjoy reading the posts over the years.

As most of you know, we recently implemented some software to help in detecting and auto-deleting the spam. It’s impossible to catch all of it and there’s no guarantee that this new software will be running every day to kill the spam. As a result, we still do need the spam monitors to be available everyday to help!

I wish that I could thank each and every one of you individually but frankly I don’t have a complete list of who Greg gave out that password to! Yikes that’s scary! Since I am now responsible for keeping the boards going, I believe it is prudent for me get organized on who has this delete security privilege.

In order to get a handle on this, I believe the best course of action is to reset the password and rebuild the team starting with the folks that I know are contributing. If you did have the password, please don’t feel offended that it has changed and that you weren’t notified. Please let me know who you are. I do want to start with a small group of initial people and I will most likely will expand the list of helpers as it is deemed necessary to bring additional help on board.

Many new individuals have stepped forward and have offered assistance as well. THANK you very much for offering. The effort of keeping these sites going will be a team effort and I appreciate the offers of assistance very much. At this time I want to keep this group small and then expand the group as needed. For those of you that have expressed an interest in helping, I’m keeping your names on file just in case we need you.
