John.... you need to try the free resizing program called MIR (multiple Image Resizer) you can change the size by a percentage, or to a fixed size, etc. You can also do either one or many all at once. In fact, you can do an entire folder of pictures at the same time.

Most importantly, two facts: It works great and it's free. As a bonus, it's easy to use.
