Charlotte is 10, will be 11 when she starts high school. 5 years + 2 takes her to 18.
Of course she could opt to go to a different college at 16 if she wanted to stay away.

My stepson is 24. He failed the exam 13 years ago. Went to regular state school and then separate college. Ended there same situation as Sarah. Got the place but not scholarship. He got a part funded place, we paid the rest, he want to live on campus so took a student loan for that.
