About these CURZON HOUSE CLUB (CHC) CHIPS

Since I posted this scan (a 1990s image) the other day, I've been asked what the value of the chips are by a few viewers.

Though it's been many years since I first introduced the CHC jetons/chips/plaques, and their exposure to our hobby via our club magazine/TCB/eBay/AntiqueTrader/AntiqueWeek, I've not been kept abreast of values regarding the hot stamp material; though I have been told that there were huge quantities imported in recent years from a vendor other than whom I purchased from in the 1990s... and who also had huge quanties back then... at which time I handled very few.

Since, I have not had any contact with that vendor after 1996-7... I have no idea as to what may or may not become available to the hobby and I'm not able to even estimate what the value is.

Also, I have no handle on what any of the rarer CHC jetons and plaques are worth at this time; other than what I was personally involved with and their levels of value when I sold them.

I will add, though... there has been enough exposure of the rarer (one-of-a-kind and two-of-a-kind) examples thru the years to have pulled whatever may have been in the woodwork, out; if at all it's there.

Hope this helps... and I'm quite sure that those who have been part of this BBS from Day-1, know that I've never held back any chip value info where I've personally been involved in its transfer (at the level of boasting grin ).

If I know it; you will, too. vbg
