Chip cleaning with toothpaste

A great big thank you to the person who posted, wrote or has a web page suggesting using toothpaste to clean chips. I personally like a nice clean chip and had always used and old toothbrush/dish soap. I tried toothpaste after returning from Atlantic City this weekend. I was so happy I tried it on an older chip.

This was my chip cleaned with soap:

Then cleaned with toothpaste:

And why are the chips from Tropicana & Taj Mahal so disgustingly DIRTY??
In general I found all of the AC chips (except Borgata & Harrah's) to be dirtier than the chips from LV.
Is there a reason? Salt water? Sand? Humidity? Just curious.

As always thank you for the information.

Abraides the chip....HOWEVER....they do....
Also, swish with Biotene for 60 seconds, afterward
Excellant job. Ignore the naysayers...
