House insulation - NCR

I don't know if there is anyone else with this situation but I ran into a real deal today. The crawl space under our house was never insulated and with energy costs just continuing up I figured that it was time to add some insulation under the floors. I noticed a few weeks ago that Home Depot dropped the cost of R-30 unfaced insulation from $19.78 per roll to $9.37. That is only $.30 per sq ft which is less than the cost for R-13. Doesn't make any sense to me but who am I to argue? Anyway, in todays paper I see that Lowes has a 30% off sale on all insulation and of course HD matches Lowes sales. Our local Lowes stores don't even carry the R-30 I need. So I trot over to Home Depot and show them the Lowes advertisement and they give me the 30% discount on the 50 rolls I need. So now I have $350 or so into the project that last year was going to cost me $900. Oh yeah - don't forget that they also passed a new energy bill this year so I get another 30% back on my taxes. I figure that there is a pretty good chance of saving $250 in the next year on my heat/AC bills - that is only $20 per month. And that will give me a 100% return in a year. Not a bad deal. Now I just gotta find someone the help with the installation. Hey - isn't that what wives are for??? vbg
