NCR BankNote of the Day...Casablanca?

Casablanca, Tangiers, Marrakesh? Just a few places everyone has heard of because of Hollywood, but when asked where they are the wrong answers run the gambit. Where are they? The answer is Africa. Namely, Morocco, a quiet little Muslim country situated on the northwestern corner of Africa, south of Spain that seldom makes the news. Remember the cartoon Tennessee Tuxedo and his sidekick Morocco Mole? The song “Marrakesh Express”?

Only slightly larger than California, The Kingdom of Morocco gained its independence from France on March 2, 1956. ENJOY!!

Languages: Arabic, Berber, French
Religions: Sunni Muslim
Status: UN Country 1956
