Hot Stamp Design Question?

I have wondered about the "Cross" design that Dale Seymour coded PD-DR. The design is used on diamond mold Arrowhead Inn chips distributed by the Jack Todd Co. Those chips date to the very early 1930s. So it's a pretty old design. My question is.... Was this really a generic design of the day as Dale suggest, or was it a Jack Todd custom design? I have it on a plain mold as well. Does anyone have this design on other molds?
