Funny; there were so many casinos named Palm Beach

... yet Palm Beach never had one named as such. vbg

While on the subject of Palm Beach and casinos... I spoke with another oldtimer who attended his graduation party at Bradley's and who said he used to visit the casino with his father in The Season. When I got to the part about the chips, he said they were ivory; and though he did not mention or know of two others I spoke with thru the years who also claimed they were ivory... he also said the monogram was "BC" as did the others.

Once on exhibit at the South Florida Fair, the wheel and chips that were on display at Whitehall were mini-clay die-cuts with the letter "B" (don't remember code).

I did find it kind of strange that all three gentlemen mentioned ivory without me mentioning anything other than me being a chip collector. Usually, those whom I've spoken with who were involved in the business or played at the club(s) hardly remember anything about chips... but this last person snapped to attention when he responded with "They were 'white' Ivory."
