Gene, and everyone else who is working, and their employers, have been paying for Medicare/Medicaid through FICA withholding. For some unknown reason, you have a problem with him using a program that he has paid for yet you have no problem with forcing people to pay for programs that other people use. Perhaps we should take the same route with Social Security. No matter how much someone has paid into it, if they don't "need" it, they shouldn't get it. That money could be much better used for stuff like UAW pensions.
