If there are more than one then there will be one My Pictures directory for each user account. The way I think this scenario could work is if you are setup as the administrator on the machine and one or more of the other user accounts is sharing their folders I think you could be inadvertently saving your pictures in another users My Pictures directory. Take a look at C:\Documents and Settings\insert user Name here\My Documents\My Pictures.
