I am not even thru my first year as a Life Member. The one-time payment was a big nut. I respect that the BOD is pursuing all avenues to raise funds, but forgive me if I politely decline to accept, for that reason, and.......

I am certain there will come a time when I would want to make a donation(s) to the club, but it will be when I am inclined to do it, not in response to a challenge. I appreciate the spirit of the idea, I just don't like the idea. There is an element of pressure involved, and whenever I get a fundraising pitch that has that element (look what your friends/neighbors/fellow citizens are doing, shouldn't YOU!) my gut response is to pass, and donate when I feel like it was because I wanted to make a donation.

JMHO, and of course, I encourage ALL who feel like they want to make a donation to the club to do so, from BOTH pockets!
