I meet a guy at a yard sale in Elmwood Place today and showed him my Valley Cigar Store and E.V.A. chips. He said the E.V.A. chip was from the Elmwood Vets from the 1940s or 50s. He said,"Wait a minute, he had some cards from the place". I was hoping they would be playing cards with the same logo that was on the chips. Turns out he meant a membership card from the club. He also had some sort of betting slips with the Valley Cigar Store name on them. The way he spouted off the Elmwood Vets name as soon as he saw the chip put it pretty close to a positive ID in my mind. Does anyone know about this chip for sure?
