I just finished watching the TV premiere on HBO of a very powerful and moving movie called Taking Chance, which is the true story of Lt. Col. Michael Strobl, who volunteers for escort duty to accompany the body of Marine Lance Corporal Chance Phelps from Dover Air Force Base to his hometown in Dubois, Wyoming. Lance Corporal Phelps was killed in action in Iraq in 1984. The movie follows the journey of the remains and brings home the reality of the sacrifice made by those who put their lives on the line to protect us, and makes you proud of the respect their return home is shown at each stop along the way.
