Re: But it won't be slowed this way

That makes sense, but if it is correct then the counterfieters would be passing 1936 notes now, right? They have far less security devices, the government says they are still good and can be used at face value. Hmmm, maybe because they LOOK different that what you find in circulation 'normally'. So, as the older bills wear out and are removed from circulation less and less will be seen. THENNNN when you get one it will be odd because you have not seen one in a long time and your attention is focused at it. So you believe the counterfieters will still be making the old ones? My bet is no, but I could be wrong! But if you are right you should explain to the BEP what a waste of time it is for them to go through all the trouble of redesigning the notes to prevent counterfieting.

To demonitize US Currency would be a catastrophic tsunomi in the economic world each time you want to redesign. Plus the costs would be on a galactic scale. So, do you suggest we do nothing? Also other countries around the world are wasting time doing the same things the US is doing.

So, as the OLD notes wear out the counterfieters will be FORCED to counterfiet the new ones which are more difficult than the last ones. So, it kinda slowes them down a little, I didn't say STOP. My $2 bet is still on anti-counterfieting measures work.
