On the way home from work, I picked one of these up (a 12-incher, I think) from Party City for ~$15. You're absolutely right; that puppy lights up the night like you wouldn't believe! It's stunning, and I tossed that silly bulb right out (well, I recycled it). I also picked up a handheld version at a pet store for comparison - this one had the combo flashlight and UV light, plus some urine-be-gone spray or somesuch. It's not nearly as bright as the strip light and it cost $5 more, but it's compact, portable, and I think I'll use it to scan other chipper's chips when I'm bored and visiting them.
