John was a really interesting guy. I spent a lot of time with him at different ARG tournaments and met him up in Toronto on one of my trips to Markham (he didn't own a car). John was associated with the early version of Pokerstars and the Colorado chips you got were from the ESPN series Tilt (he was also involved in that). What was amazing to me, and to a lot of our BARGE friends, was that he was as well known as he was (in Canada --- which makes him like 75% as well known).

Of all the things I remember about John, and he was a good player, was the disgusted look on his face, and him storming out of the room, after he busted out of a tournament. It didn't matter if he was first out, or came in 2nd place. He expected to win every time. In fact he is the highest winning ARG player (most first places).
