are two plaques from The Casino Dragonara located in Malta.

Plaques are approximately 1/8" thick. A little thin for my taste.

These plaques are obsolete for one of two reasons (or both). Either because the casino became part of the Groupe Lucien Barriere, or because the "Malta lira" was replaced by the euro in 01/01/08. At the time of currency conversion:

5000 Malta lira (obsolete currency) = $15,068.10 USD.

The foil on the 5000 is weak on the side shown. The other side is very good. The 500 is almost perfect on both sides.
