Morning Cup o' Joe--> Riding Lessons

I got a couple of emails asking, "Where is that chip from?" after making a couple posts this week with this chip attached. Actually it is a fairly famous chip that most chip collectors are familiar with and much easier to ID with both sides shown. The chip is from the TOWN HOUSE, Reno, 1st Issue c1932. The chip is called "Riding Lessons" with a drawing of a bow legged cowboy in a ten gallon hat standing at a bar flanked by two shapely ladies wearing bonnets, all enjoying what appears to be martinis. The drawing was the work of local Reno artist Lew Hymers and it is found on this $5 Orange and the $25 Black chips from this very early Nevada casino. More on Lew Hymers here---> http://www.onlinenevada.org/lew_hymers and also some great history and info on this chip, Hymers, and the Town House Reno in our great club "rag" CASINO CHIP and TOKEN NEWS Volume 17 Number 1 Jan-Feb-Mar 2004 http://cctn.ccgtcc.com/archives3.html

I collect chips that show Art & History this is a fine example of the chips that I love and love to collect. I am still looking for the Black $25... does anybody have one for sale or even just to show?
